June 2013 - T-Ball

Lanie, Brielle, and Cole.

When Cole is outfield, he generally plays in the dirt. His glove has some little holes on the back from him using it as a shovel. He did catch the ball a few times, though.

Connor is his #1 biggest fan!

He always come to get a drink before going to sit with the team to it for his turn to hit. He has come so far since he started. The first game, he hit, ran half way to first base, decided he was thirsty, and turned around. Now, he knows where and when to run and hits pretty good, too!

Team Cheer

The teams give each other high five at the end of each game.

Team picture. Ryan was a good coach! I'm glad it was him so Cole would feel more comfortable.

The snacks after each game were always great. I like when people brought enough for Connor, too.

Connor and Avigail watching the game and munching on graham crackers.

June 2013 - Cole's Cardiology Appointment

Cole playing doctor with Connor, practicing for his cardiology appointment the next day. It's fun to listen to Cole's noisy heart. You can hear/feel it beating without a stethoscope if you put your ear up to his chest. Pretty crazy.

He was so perfectly behaved for his appointment. He did everything he was supposed to without crying/whining/complaining. He even went to get weighed and get his x-rays by himself. His heart is good to go for another six months, where they will do an echo and see where to go from there. The valve/artery they put in him lasts an average of five years. He had them put in when he was six months old. Hopefully we make it well beyond average! So far, Cole has had 2 open heart surgeries, 2 balloon angioplasties, a hernia repair, and 2 TE fistula repairs. This is one tough kid! We also decided that he got his scar from being scratched by a dinosaur during a fight.

His cardiologist from Primary Children's Medical Center, Dr. Richard Williams, comes to Pocatello two days a month. It helps a lot to not have to drive so far for his appointments. His heart surgeon is Dr. Kaza.

June 2013 - Grandma & Grandpa Alan and Rigby Lake

We love the goats. Cole feeds them alfalfa, and Connor feeds them rocks.

Connor likes to walk up the slide, then go down. He's lucky to have a grandma nice enough to help him walk up over , and over, and OVER!

Grandpa holds Cole up high, then lets him swing down. He loves it!

 Grandma's baby kittens. So sweet!
Connor had disappeared, so I went to find him. I found him watching Sandy eat, and kept saying "Puppy bite! Puppy bite!"  I guess he really liked watching her crunch her food up.

We haven't bought creamies for a long time because we haven't been able to find our favorite flavor; chocolate covered mint. These were pretty dang good too, though, especially on such a hot day!

We went camping at Rigby Lake with my mom and Alan. The weather was a little too cool for the water, but it was still so much fun! We biked around the lake, played T-Ball with Cole, played on the playground, and threw rocks in the water. My butt was pretty sore from pulling the around the first time, so my mom took a turn. They thought it was pretty neat to have grandma pull them instead of me.

Grandma also taught Cole how to play Go Fish. Instead of asking me 'Do you have a ... ?' Cole would say, "Please mom may I have a ...?'  I love his good manners!

June 2013 - Random Pictures

Cole made pancakes with only a little help from me... I helped measure, but did the rest! I can't wait til he can do more cooking.

Cole and Brielle were playing with my phone in his room.
They took these pictures of each other. They are both pretty good photographers!

Cole making his own pizza. He is becoming a better eater. He used to pick everything off, but now he will eat most of it.

This is their first time getting ice cream from an ice cream truck. They loved it!

Connor figured out pretty fast to point up to make it go farther. He had fun aiming at Cole!

Cole loved getting wet, too. Connor mostly liked the be holding the hose.
He didn't appreciate getting soaked quite as much.
Chris really wanted to go to Sweeto Burrito, so we packed up and headed over there. We took too long  in the car looking at the menu because they closed before we made it over to order.  Instead we went to Wingers. It was about 10:00 by the time we got back home. The boys were both so good, especially for it being so past their bedtime.
Connor is saying, "Look Dad!" to show him the popcorn in his mouth.

Chris gave coloring lessons while we were waiting for our food. He was very specific about how to trace, then color. Apparently he won all the coloring contests in grade school. So cute!

When my chicken sandwich came, this stick with a pickle on it was jammed in the middle.
Who does that?! I'm glad Cole liked it.

This is such a steep slide! This is our favorite park to go to. It's usually empty and just the right size for Cole and Connor. It's pretty close to our house, too.

Connor dumped out his Cheerios and put them between his toes, one by one, to put in his mouth rather than using his fingers. He was so serious about it; he wasn't trying to be funny at all! I don't know where he comes up with this stuff, but I love watching!

"Hello Dad!"

Another picture Cole took of himself.

"Come a little closer, Mom!!" Good think I know better! Mischievous little guy. After we put the hose and sprinkler back by the faucet, Connor went over and turned it on, not realizing that it was going to soak him. He screamed SO loud! Poor kid. I was trying not to laugh too hard.

Watching 'The Land Before Time.' We are all about dinosaurs these days.

Breakfast Time

Don't mind the nudity... I just thought this was so cute!

Connor goes on hunts with his pop gun. When Cole goes on hunts, he always puts on my shoes that click really loud on the tile. Such a nerd!

We went to Inkom for Father's Day weekend. Greg and Michelle had rented a bouncy house and this huge slide. Cole and Connor both loved it. I wish I had gotten more pictures! This was his last time down right before we went home.

Sleeping kids are so sweet. I love how he falls asleep with me if I'm not ready to wake up in the mornings.

Jackson left one sock here one of the times they stayed here. Cole said , "I'm so happy  my toes are getting so bit so I can wear Jackson's sock!"

Connor kept getting his big toe stuck in a small hole on the bottom of his jammies. He was so upset by it, even though he did it on purpose each time after I fixed it, that I decided those jammies had to go downstairs.

This was their first nap together. I'm really surprised they actually went to sleep! It lasted for quite a while until Connor got turned around and started kicking Cole. He was half asleep saying, "Don't want it! Don't want it!" I moved him to by bed and he went back out. Cole was sad to wake up by himself, though.

Connor made it to him room before me, climbed on the chair, then on the desk, and had his fan turned on so he could go to sleep. He is just so cute when he sleeps!
My mom said we should get a bike trailer so we could ride around Rigby Lake when we camp there. I put it together and adjusted the straps so we would be ready. I have to say, I have used it so much more than I thought I would. Biking is MUCH more fun than running!

Chris hooked it up the rest of the way and adjusted it to make the boys fit better and give them more support.  We need another bike so he can come ride with us, too!

Connor actually peed a little when he was standing by the potty. Most if it went onto the stool, but it was a huge improvement because this is the first time anything has ever happened. He got to pick out a piece of candy. He chose a sucker. It made him drool everywhere! I had to mop after he was done because there were little sticky drool spots everywhere. He slobbered on it so much that the sucker part, with a little bit of the stick inside of it, broke off into his mouth. I made him spit it out after that.

I love my sweet boy.

Theresa and her two kids are contemplating staying with us for a few weeks at the end of July. To help her decide, I had Cole help out a little. We hope she comes!

Connor decided to watch 'Wipe Out' with me. I think he liked watching the people be knocked down a little too much!

Sorry for the nudity again. :) Every time I change his diaper, he tell me he has to pee and heads to the bathroom just like this. Cole is such an awesome teacher! On a side note, Connor just came to me and told me his is poopy. I get a diaper and wipes, then lay him down. I take his pants off to find that he had already taken his diaper off and put his pants back on. Luckily, he wasn't really poopy! I think we need to really start potty training soon.
I love that Connor decided to get a ride and climbed on. I was a little worried that he would fall off the back if Cole went too fast, but he seemed to do OK.
