He was so perfectly behaved for his appointment. He did everything he was supposed to without crying/whining/complaining. He even went to get weighed and get his x-rays by himself. His heart is good to go for another six months, where they will do an echo and see where to go from there. The valve/artery they put in him lasts an average of five years. He had them put in when he was six months old. Hopefully we make it well beyond average! So far, Cole has had 2 open heart surgeries, 2 balloon angioplasties, a hernia repair, and 2 TE fistula repairs. This is one tough kid! We also decided that he got his scar from being scratched by a dinosaur during a fight.
His cardiologist from Primary Children's Medical Center, Dr. Richard Williams, comes to Pocatello two days a month. It helps a lot to not have to drive so far for his appointments. His heart surgeon is Dr. Kaza. |
