October 2015 - Trees

We got an awesome deal on some trees. We all went to Town and Country Gardens and Chris showed me the ones he had been looking at. He loaded them up and brought them home to plant over the next week or so. The boys loved helping him dig the holes, gather rocks, and play in the dirt. Chris gave Connor a ride on the back of the tow truck. Connor didn't want to get off! Chris also found a snake and chased Connor around with it. It was pretty funny. I'm surprised Connor actually ran! Cole found some books we have had for a long time that he never really noticed before. He spent over an hour inside reading them. I asked him to come out, and be brought his book with him and set up a camping chair and just kept reading. I love that he loves reading!

They spend a lot of time playing in the dirt piles from the foundation that was dug next door. They come in completely caked in dirt and mud. I have to take their shoes to the shower to get them cleaned up. They definitely don't look like new school shoes anymore!

October 2015 - Nana's House

With all of Chris's hospital time, the boys have been spending a lot of time at grandparents house. I'm so glad we live close to family and so glad they are so willing to help. I'm also glad Carson is at an age that he does just fine on sleepovers. It makes things a lot less stressful.

October 2015 - Josh's Birthday

Josh got to have his daughter for a few hours on his birthday, so we all went over there for dinner and cake and ice cream. It was fun to have all the cousins together, even though they didn't all cooperate for the picture.

October 2015 - Halloween

Since Chris was in the hospital on Halloween, our boys didn't actually go trick or treating this year. We keep our costumes out all year long, though, and they play with them regularly. They always role play and wrestle in them. Connor gets soooo sweaty. I love it!  My mom took all three boys to Cole's school carnival, then took them on home with her. They stayed there entire time and Connor actually participated in the activities. I was glad since he didn't want to play any of the games last year.

We also went to the ward trunk or treat. The boys had fun. I feel bad that I didn't let Carson out, though, because he's to the age where he would have loved it. I figured he would go on Halloween when it wasn't so crowded, but no such luck. Josh came over after the carnival and got the boys all wild before bed. Carson finally warmed up to him, too. All it takes is a little candy!

IHOP offers free scary face pumpkins on Halloween for kids, so I let Cole sluff the first hour of school so we could go and not have the restaurant too packed. They always dump on every type of syrup and devour most of their giant pancake. Carson used his hands and became the biggest, stickiest, cutest mess. A lady who had been staring at us quite a bit told commented on my incredibly well behaved children on the way out. Made me happy!
