July 2015 - Provo

Trips to Provo are always awesome. I wish it was a tad bit closer so it was easier to go more often! I adore this family, and I love that they adore my kids. Carson's had his first slip and slide experience. He was hesitant at first, then splashed in the water at the bottom, then finally started going down. Connor was terrified at first, I had to help him down the first time, then he went like crazy. Cole jumped right down.

We hiked to the falls that're fairly close to their house. I wish I could remember what they were called! It was so pretty. The hike was fairly easy even for the kids. Spencer put Carson on his back, which was really nice. There was a paved sidewalk to the bottom of the falls where the kids could play, then a trail that went maybe half way up. Waterfalls make me happy. :)

Nancy had put together a 'Splat Camp' for a bunch of neighborhood kids. They did an egg drop, had popsicles, and played on the slip and slide. Carson was hilarious- he got mad at me when I only offered him a bite of my popsicle. He snatched it and stomped off with some pretty funny sound effects. We laughed pretty hard!

Anna, Leah, and I went to the Rec Center to do a Zumba class. We stayed and worked out after and played some basketball. I forgot how much I love playing Lightning and Horse. Anna is sooo competitive, which makes it that much more fun! I was impressed that I was as good as I was after so many years of not playing. I can't wait til my kids are old enough that we can all enjoy a game and they will actually be competition! We all went swimming at the Rec Center later. Cole loved the water that looked like it jumped from one spot to another. It was pretty crowded, but still fun.
